A native of the Washington DC area and a former teacher, I found that I really enjoyed counseling my students. This inspired me to obtain a Masters in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison to become a Psychotherapist. While at UW, I interned in inpatient units at the Mendota Mental Health Institute and provided outpatient therapy at Journey Mental Health Center. I worked with children, adolescents and adults at both placements. I have also worked as a therapist for the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

In 2016 I founded Tall Oaks Therapy, LLC to provide effective outpatient psychotherapy. My mission is to provide customized and holistic therapy in a comfortable environment that is conducive to the healing process. Clients have told me that my sense of humor and goal oriented approach make me easy to talk to and effective as a therapist. My office is a judgement-free zone. I would be honored to assist you in finding your path toward optimal emotional health.

Tall Oaks Therapy is proud to have Charlie as our full-time therapy dog! Charlie has been on the job since 2016 and is a highly trained service dog who loves everyone. He enjoys making *his* clients feel more relaxed and comfortable during their sessions. He's also a great shoulder to cry on and is always eager for a hug.

In my spare time, I am often found walking my dogs in some of the many wonderful parks we have here in WI. For 5 years I was a professional dog behaviorist/trainer in Dane county and surrounding areas. I also enjoy reading for fun and doing research for my practice.
